Polio

I and my entire faculty member pay our sincerest condolences on the death of Polio vaccinators on 16, December 2012 in two different cities. Even in 21st century people don’t understand how important is to vaccinate a child against Polio. One of the major causes is the illiteracy and ignores about the impact of the disease. In 1952 Even United States suffered the worst outbreak of the polio epidemic in the country. It’s a challenge especially for third world countries including India and Pakistan.

At Government level, Government is doing all its efforts in Collaboration with UNO and committed to eradicate this disease from the country but still there is need to take people on board against this epidemic. Government is also trying to penetrate sensitive areas where law and order situation is not good.

In my point of view should conduct seminars, release public awareness messages through media, use internet technology to send the message to public and also launch a camp again in schools, colleges and universities to sensitize the people about the seriousness of the disease and its harmful impacts on the generations to come.

I would like to share some symptoms in short which in point view is necessary for everyone to know .

Abnormal sensation
Breathing difficulty
Difficulty swallowing
Urinary retention
Constipation
